Tis a sad day in Cincinnatti

(This is for you Missy :smiling_imp: )

what? I haven’t heard any news this weekend - what happened?

The Tigers won 2 of three in the interleague games with the Reds.

oh… THAT…

we need more then one decent pitcher. I ain’t holding my breath.

But the incredible thing here is that the Tigers and Reds are BOTH contending – it’s almost JUNE fergossakes! The Tigers look like they’re for real; I dunno about the Reds, as I don’t follow the National League.

Yes but it’s also “only” June. There’s plenty of time to mess it up.

All three were good games and the Tigers only won two by the skin of their teeth.

However, the Tige’s start a 4 game series against Kansas City tonight and KC is the bottom of the stats for the American league.

That’s good because the White Sox are playing Oakland, a tougher contender and 1st in the West division. This could put the Tigers 2 or more games ahead if Oakland can hold back the Sox.

Reds fans are accustomed to sad days.
And nights.
Weeks.
And Months.
Springs, summers and autumns as well. (Winters are more accurately described by the word dread.)
Years.
Decades, in fact.
Truth be told, a century, more or less.

Don’t feel bad - you could be a Cubs fan. :really:

now - hold on a second… what about:
The Big Red Machine

J.B., Morgan, Perez, Pete, Geronimo, and on and on. And, of course, Sparky. The 70’s were GREAT!!!

Sweet Lou wasn’t bad, either.

And for all her faults - Saint CEO really did a lot for the team and the town.

Absolutely. The Reds have always been my favorite Natl League team.
