Tin/Penny Whistle "Send in The Clowns"?

Hello, I am a new member and a beginner Tin Whistle player. I was thinking that the music “Send in The Clowns” would be ideal and somewhat easy for the tin whistle. I have searched You Tube and the net and have not found anything for the whistle. Any help (instructional video by an experienced player perhaps) would be great! Thanks!

Any tune that you know well is a good starting point.

I sort-of play that tune. I cannot write music though, and I may be playing it wrong**. But if it helps you to start, here are some notes and the fingerings for them (x = hole covered, o = hole uncovered, you are blowing in the left hand side):

D (xxxxxx)
E (xxxxxo)
G (xxxooo)
G (xxxooo)

D (xxxxxx)
E (xxxxxo)
G (xxxooo)

A (xxoooo)
B (lots) (xooooo)
d (oxxxxx)

E (xxxxxo)

**think of this as an ‘Aunt Sally’ - there will be an expert along soon, I am sure.

wikifonia is a good website for lead sheets of all kinds of popular music. The songs transpose. You can save the songs in PDF format too. I registered ages ago and they don’t bother me.
