You should be able to get better sound out of your webcam. That harsh sound means your input level is too high. Look for a slider control next to a microphone icon, either in your recording software or system preferences. Usually, the display includes a little graphic that shows how loud the incoming sound is from moment to moment. You want to adjust the level so that the incoming sound never hits the top.
Thanks tsackett, I should have thought about it. I also found a microphone to use for the audio input, it should be much better. I’ll have another take maybe tomorrow.

Much better sound (and I sure didn’t notice any mistakes). It’s also cool how you can play the same flute left- and right-handed!
