Dear friends,
Most people are aware of the fatal shooting in the Unitarian Universalist church in Knoxville. I have two reasons for what happened to effect me strongly. My chosen religion is Unitarian Universalism. Also, a block away from my church, the First Presbyterian Church of Moscow; a church I attended as a child, my mom was the choir director; was the seen of a shooting in May 2007.
Being UU, we often stand for things many find distasteful, to say the least, so there is a part of us that looks back over our shoulders, wondering who might be back there. As people have been saying all over the country, keep Knoxville in your thoughts and payers.
