Thought for the day...

My cousin just send me this one…

Have you ever wondered if any of the dollar bills in your wallet have been in the butt crack of a stripper?
(You are now… :stuck_out_tongue: )

Yikes. And there is a row of strip clubs in my town.

If we’re going to ruin imagery for as many people as possible, how’s this:

I’ve yet to meet the stripper who isn’t a foster kid or whose kids aren’t in foster care.

Some of the water molecules in your cup of tea have been inside a hippo.

Working as a bank teller for seven years, I have handled and counted a lot of money. I often wondered about the history of the coins and bills that passed through my hands. I decided that it was best not to think about it. Even though it was not a sanitary practice, it was difficult not to grab that piece of candy and go from hand to mouth while working. I see that some customer service people are now wearing gloves to protect themselves.

With regard to strippers or barroom dancers, I am not too quick to find them at fault for their at-work behavior or their child-rearing practices. I see many young people working in conventional jobs that do not pay enough for them to live in this modern society. Continuing to work in such a low-paying job offers no hope for a successful future. Stippers or dancers, on the other hand, can earn a good income for a time, enough to buy a car, rent a decent apartment, pay for college tuition (should they choose), and provide for child care. With enough income a person has viable choices, some good and some bad.

Due to your line of work, this doesn’t surprise me. I know strippers who are childless, from stable middle-class households. One is a preacher’s daughter, in fact.

Yup. I knew two women who put themselves through med-school on the money they made stripping. Seriously!

Wow. I guess you could say studying anatomy and teaching it at the same time.
