Thomann Whistles

Thomann are a big supplier of musical instruments based in Germany.
I get a lot of accessories and audio equipment from them.
They now appear to be doing their own range of plastic whistles:

Not sure why the D is more expensive than the C.
The only problem with Thomann is that the postage is quite high for small items so its not worth ordering one up unless other things were being needed at the same time.

:frowning:

Have ordered a Thomann’s A-whistle some weeks ago.

I’m sorry to say that I was quite disappointed in the instrument.

I hope I don’t transgress any forum rules if I give my highly personal opinion on this very one instrument here:
This ‘Irische Flöte’, as it is called in the catalogue, seems not to be quite in tune with itself (not just the C nat), is very croaky in the higher octave, anything but nice to look at (admittedly, that’s a question of personal taste), also I would not really call it very well manufactured (chippings left around the holes, strange taste).

Mmm, certainly one can not expect too much for the price of 11,90 € …

Anyway, I had ordered it along with other things so the postage for it was free …

All the best,
Ella

Thanks!

I was wondering what they were actually like.
Its a pity because their recorders are quite good.
