My neighbors have a small, yappy dog that they keep outside in a pen during the workday. Just to make sure that fido has all of the conveniences in her pen that she has in the house, the owners have decorated the pen with necessary items, such as carpet, a padded chair for sitting, living ferns, marigolds, and geranium, two artificial tree-like-objects, and (I love this!) a candle in a wine bottle for those romantic moments when other owners walk their dogs on the nearby sidewalk.
Doug, you are not alone in disliking yappy little dogs. For ten bucks, Guido and the boys will pull up in a large town car with darkened windows, abscond with said mutt, and …
I made that rug with the cream-colored background ages ago when I was still single and had time to do crafts. Nowadays I go to my paying job and come home, have supper, and do housework, and have very little time to do anything along those lines. I do still have some kits in the closet, and someday I’ll have time to make them up - if the materal hasn’t all rotted away by then!
My neighbors to the east (mom, dad, and 3 school aged kids) have a dog that must behave poorly when inside because they leave him barking in the backyard whether they’re home or not.
On the days its predicted to rain they might leave him inside while they go to work and school but he barks all day anyway. I can hear him through the windows.
Funny but sad though, when they went on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks they payed someone to come over and take the dog for walks twice a day. 2 walks a day was all the dog needed to not feel the need to sit and bark.
When they came home and no longer employed someone to walk the dog twice a day, the barking resumed.
