Thinning Out The Herd (WhOA!)

Yet one more update – Only 3 whistles left: 2 Waltons in D and one Waltons in C (all in brass finish, green head). See web link below for more details, photos, etc. A whole flock of whistles have gone to good homes, where they’ll be played, which makes me happy! But, the remaining three still need homes!

One more update – Just 7 whistles left: 5 Waltons in D and C, one Clare D nickel finish, and one Clarke D painted. Discount and free shipping w/in continental US if purchased as a group. See web link below for more details, photos, etc.

UPDATE - They’ve been going fast – Thanks to all for your interest! I just added a Feadog C nickel finish that I forgot I had! There are still several “cheap” whistles left, mostly Waltons in D and C. Please check updated web page for what’s still available, prices, etc. I’m attempting to update it whenever there’s a change.

Four of the Shaw whistles remain, including all 3 low whistles - they will likely go onto eBay next week if not sold before then.

To help alleviate a classic case of WhOA, and because I’m mainly a button-accordion and anglo-concertina player, it’s time to part from a whole bunch of whistles I’ve been obsessively collecting over the years (I’ll still hang on to a handful, though!).

There are 23 “cheap” whistles (except for one Shaw D) by several makers in various keys (most are in D and C), as well as a set of five Shaw whistles B-flat down to low D. All whistles are clean, in great condition, and never abused.

The “bunch of 23” may be a good opportunity for a teacher with beginner students who may want to have a supply of inexpensive whistles on hand for the students.

“Volume discount” and free shipping (w/in USA) included, if a set is purchased as a complete group.

Rather than take up a lot of space here, I’ve set up a web page with lots of photos, prices and additional info at http://sellingitems.home.att.net/whistles/ (should be able to click on this link to go there).

Please contact me via PM with questions or interest or via contact info on web page. Thanks!

Nice Pictures!

Just to say, I have personally seen all these whistles and I can say there
are some real gems in there and they all actually sound quite good. They
were up for inspection at our house session last week.

(There are Generations, Waltons, Clares, Oak, and Clarkes besides the
Shaws.)

I hope they all go to good homes. I bought one of his Eb Gen’s myself, it
was too sweet to put it back!

I just received my 3 whistles. THANK YOU! They were all exactly like advertised and packaged very well. You get my A++ positive feedback rating! Hah hah hah!

As for the whistles themselves:

I was pleasantly surprised with the original Clarke

I was a little let down by the Generation

The Oak was just about like I expected it to be.

Thanks again for the great deal!
