They're at it again

I saw this Heineken ad last night. The flute playing is at the very end. The whole ad is so ridiculous that I guess the flute playing might as well be too. At least he’s following Sir James Galway’s rule of “No smiling embouchures!”

finger twirls

Yeah, fancy-shmancy eh?

clearly a Bundy student flute.

if he had any real talent it would be a boxwood Rudall.
or rarer still, a Hudson-Pratten. :astonished:

Yep, I don’t think they’d let him twirl a hand made Haynes like a baton either.

shiny!

Not all of 'em.

do you do finger twirls?

BTW, I’d a thought that someone would have given the sucker a couple of points for using, if not pipers grip, at least straight fingers on his right hand…

No, I just try to hit the notes. I know all of the notes, to the stuff I play, I’m just not certain about what order they go in.

Kirk

that’s how ya make new chunes, innit?

Right, it’s all just a variation of the same tune anyway. At least that’s what they tell me at session.

I enjoyed the “beer karate,” but I noted that they never actually show that beer being opened.

On the positive side, flute playing is categorized right up there with great skills for a man to have and he does get the girl.

… Savage!

Then yer man can’t have been that good; a Master wouldn’t have spilled a drop.

I liked when he gave that one fellow with the eyepatch a (presumably his lost?) glass eye.

How many notes did he play? Eight, maybe, and he gets the girl? He’s good.
