The Woe of WhOA, I Should have bought a Flute.

I just realized that if I didn’t feel the need to buy so many whistles I would probably have enough for a real wooden Flute. So WhOA has taken all my money away from things I really needed more. How many pro Flute players do you know that play on a PVC Flute? Out of my last two purchased whistles and the two I plan to purcahse it all adds up to $510 that could have gone to a Flute but now $280 (Syn Full Set, that I cold justify I needed a cheap way to get lots of Keys, and my Alba High D) is gone and the rest, when I get it, I plan to use on a Low F (the one Tal is selling we made an agreement) and a Burke which I feel the need to get both. I have wanted a Low F for a long time and I feel like getting a Burke but now I feel the need to get both. Now if I get those I won’t be buying any thing else for a while as I am losing my job and my last paycheck (which I wil get in July) will go to a Burke Aluminum High D.

Oh the woes of WhOA.

Boy, I thought I had it bad for a while. At least I am not spending my LAST paycheck on a whistle!!!

I’m not using all of it on the whistle. Just $140 of it.

You can always look on the bright side. You could have spent $1000+ on a flute and not been happy with it (like a recent thread). Or worse, you could have bought an expensive wood flute and ruined it with exposure to too much moisture or rapid changes in temperature. Or perhaps you might have discovered that you are uncomfortable with the transverse position, or don’t have the heart to practice enough to get a nice embouchure.
