Last night i was laying in bed. I listined to one of the chieftains greast hits ablums. i jsut sat there and kinda zoned out. I let everything go, my cross county meet, my parent always fighting everything. I swear i never felt so good in my life. It is amazing how that music affected me, but even though nothing changed i felt better after i turned my cd player off. Well i guess my point is maybe we should remember why we joined this Board. Not to talk about fascism and commercial whistle post, but because we love music. We love playing it, listing to it, and most definatly talking about it. So everyone keep on loving music.

hear, hear.
I sure agree. I take a 3-mile walk every morning and just relax and
listen to music and it is so refreshing and makes the day go so
much better. Thank goodness that ancient man discovered such a
thing for all the generations to ejoy.

I think how music makes you feel isn’t as important as the fact that it makes you feel.
Well said, Andrew. I don’t want to sound too spiritual or metaphysical here, but sometimes the music seems to take me to a whole other place, too. A very good place.
Playing my tin whistle is one of the most relaxing things I do. Like many songwriters, I believe that the songs come to me from somewhere else. It is spiritual experience.

My life is often stressful. I can take out my whistle or my flute, and forget about almost every worry for awhile. Same with listening to good music, too (any kind of good music)

Music is therapy for me too. It has kept me from going totally mental, and it expresses the whole range of experience. I finally accepted some time ago that I have to make music, even if no one else hears it, to keep my soul in one piece.
