Yeah, because you might offend those with chronic flatulence.
The move follows that of the Welsh Development Agency, set up to promote business in Wales, which ran a series of courses last year to teach staff to be more politically correct. ‘Brainstorming’ was on its list of banned words, as well as ‘nit-picking’ and ‘manila’, because of their origins in the slave trade.
So why haven’t they banned the term “brand”? Surely that has links with the slave trade too?
I always preferred blamestorming sessions anyway.
I guess this will spell the demise of one of my favourite childhood characters - Professor Branestorm.
We used to call these “Green Light” sessions, in reference to traffic signals. Unfortunately, the other traffic lights complained, and we determined we would be better off to just collect our paycheques and not think at all. This plan is still in effect and is working marvelously well (for us).

How Oirish. “Shower” is a perjorative itself.
Whoever thought of this is clearly affected by a brain cloud.
Furthermore, “thought shower” could be construed as a rude term to use in the presence of those who do not bathe for religious reasons.
I’m thoroughly offended by that, Em. It -ahem- harks back to my college days.

Time to let Soviet ideas like political correctitude go.
…err… I mean, time to let… what was I saying? oh… right… we are embracing political correctness. No more redneck jokes. Hence forth let’s say “You might be a representative of Anglo-American folk culture if…”
Well… I went looking for some of them jokes to post, but I’ll not, as too many of them hit too close to home with me.
Someone commented that if you had a very productive “thought shower” you could call it “golden”.
I object to the term politicly correct. I find it offensive to my prejudices to suggest that politicians might be right about anything. 
So do I! It offends the spelling cop in me!
