In the past week, I have taken some new photographs, both in Eastern Oklahoma and in the extreme Western portion of the state (not the Panhandle).
I’m not very experienced at nature photography, and some scenery I was well outside my ability to capture on film, but here is a selection of the pictures:

I really must get a digital Camera and start posting some picies.

Some of these were a deeper purple, depending how the sun struck them and such, but the ones I got in the picture looked fairly light.
I used a film 35 mm camera, and just had them developed digitally. The originals are 1536 pixels by 1024 pixels.
Stop making me want to go backpacking.
Wow, the Grand River area looks really nice; very lush. The climate there must be more like the east coast (more humid). The shot of the road has that “come hither” feeling.
Yes, yesterday’s weather report, on a non-rainy day, was 94% humidity, which was quite a bit higher than Honolulu. It gets up 99-100%.

I ordered a truckload of black dirt last year to do some landscaping… now I’ve got these things growning all over my yard
Walden, they’re on the link you posted, including some clover. I wonder now where that dirt came from?
Well, they grow in a good deal of the western United States, including Western Oklahoma. However, I doubt the black dirt was from Western Oklahoma, as that’s “Red Carpet Country.”
