The session http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/104 lists this as being in Dmaj but it doesn’t quite sound like Dmaj to me. Anyone know if it’s a modal variant?
It looks OK to me. Two sharps fit the melody. For accompaniment, I tend to substitute F#m7 for the A chord. FJohn should like that.

Nice tune. Looks like it ends the sections in Edorian which fits the 2 sharp key signature. Wanders a bit on the way though…and that is what makes it interesting, at least to me.

Since the composer Mark Kelly is the one playing guitar, presumably it’s what at least he had in mind. The endings aren’t EDor, but standard V-I turnarounds.
But chords are chords, and the tune’s the tune. You play what pleases you, and hope that someone doesn’t toss you out.
