I’m certain that most of you didn’t know this… I am now making whistles full-time, having taken my leave of my former employer. You will be seeing the results of this soon, in new products and improved ship-times.

your whistles look great, I am anxious to hear one. Perhaps the next high D I get will be one of yours, I need a good session volume high whistle (and I don’t want a susato). How long of a wait is it upon ordering? Do you plan on developing a low D in the near future?

Unless you retired like I did so SS can subsidize an obsessive hobby.
Taking leave of employment would have meant taking leave of my senses and my wife’s good nature. It’s good to have a hobby that isn’t a money drain, but it couldn’t pay for insurance and prescriptions, not to mention the necessities of life, like tools. Oh yes, and as my wife mentioned: food.

Hellbound, I don’t blame you for not liking Susatos… The upper range is so SCREECHY and sometimes hard to reach. I’ve been playing for years and am well past the learning curve, and so I’m not used to having any kind of resistance when going to the upper octave. I paid $20 for my Susato and now am wondering why! The only advantage it seems to have is that it’s tuneable.
