The search function is killing me!

So I wanted to find posts that talk about MK whistles.

However.

The search function will not let me do so. Apparently “MK” is too short a search term.

Anybody know a way around this?

Yeah! Try searching for a key of whistle. Especially A.

The way that seems to work well is to google it. Mention “MK” and “Chiff and Fipple” in your query. If you want to be fancy, type “site:forums.chiffandfipple.com”.

BTW, I learned that trick by doing a forum search for “forum search issue”. I love being meta.

Also, researching MK already? Nice.

I have a Pvc low D whistle on loan, and it has that sort of deeply cut Mk-esque mouthpiece. Wasn’t sure I’d get on with it, but I quite like it.


You’re right though, it didn’t take me long to go headlong into whistle aquisition mode. :boggle:

Search the site via Google? (i.e. indicate the site in your search, or use advanced search options to do that)

Yep. MKs are just lovely.If you are on a budget the Kelpie, non-tunable, is a good deal.
