Cute picture. I would love to know the real story behind it.
Best wishes,

I’ve seen that picture before, a couple years ago. It’s just a joke photo.

I have no clue what the story is… It’s a joke that has been circulating for years, but thought in light of the recent story about the kid being arrested for throwing a rock (at the expense of police overkill
).
A friend of mine said some kid in New Hampshire got a littering fine (something like $280) for throwing a tennis ball (or something like that) out of a window. Now I don’t know about other parents, but it’s a little difficult to keep a kid in the backseat from sneaking something out of the window every once in while, even if you make it really clear that this is unacceptable, especially if you have manual windows. And who’s going to pay the ticket?! My kids, who were listening to this discussion, thought that was a perfectly fine punishment, and the kid could pay it “later”! These are the same kids that like to hang baggies out the windows to watch them fill with air… ![]()

-We sampled egg trajectories against relative motion of highway vehicles-from the back of a moving stake truck. Inquiring, juvenile minds wanted to know. Thank God & American justice for the statute of limitations. ![]()
Aaaw. That’s so cute. ![]()
We did a similar experiment with loaded trash cans on the freeway. (In the neighborhood where I grew up, the city gave you trash cans with wheels to facilitate the auto-loader garbage trucks). We’d sit in the back of my buddie’s pickup truck and drag the garbage can behind the truck on the freeway until the wheels of the can could no longe cope with the speed and then, well, use your immagination…I too and grateful for the statute of limitations…
We were actually caught once, and the deputy who caught us just made us clean up the trash (someone had called in a report that some people in a pickup were hitting trash cans along the side of the road in an area where we were nowhere near, which was quite a lighter crime that what we were doing, so we readily addmitted to it!!) We went and cleaned up a few tipped over trash cans and the nice deputy let us go without so much as a sitation.
rural mailboxes, cars, and baseball bats…
