The Oddity Thread

think of the princess Leia cinnabons you could get with that kind of hair!

Oh my! Yes, indeedy…

But I think I’ll leave that little piece of 70’s fashion in my past, thanks. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve actually always wanted to wear my hair like that…it’s just so darn cool!

When I was 12, mine was done to my rear, but my mom just couldn’t deal with having to brush it out after my less than dainty play anymore, so it was chin length … then, when I got married the second time (the real one, not the fool stupid, wrong one) It was nearly there again. I cut it when my oldest was “in the oven” because we were living in a tiny place (a bus, actually) and using a wood stove - one morning I opened it to put a log in and my braid swung in… cut it that day.

My hubby had hair down to his waist until about 3 years ago when he cut it to send to Locks of Love during my brother’s stay with us in his last months of dealing with a terminal illness… he was bald from treatment, so hubby went bald with him. He’s kept it short ever since, but I miss it.

A former boss’s mom had hair down to the floor. The boss said when they were little she always wore it in a long braid and used it as a whip frequently to make them behave. She said it hurt worse than a branch broken off the nearest tree.

The longest my hair ever was was almost waist length. This was many years ago in the 60’s . It was a pain to wash and keep combed so when my first daughter was born I cut the stuff off and it’s stayed off ever since. Much simpler and easier.

Why do men always seem to want women’s hair long? This has been a bone of contention between my husband and myself for 30 years.

Cause it’s sexier methinks.

I prefer longer hair but I wouldn’t expect anyone to have it THAT long. Shoulder length is long enough.
It depends on the person’s features. A woman with a long neck can have longer hair that looks shorter then a woman with a shorter neck.

This thread is cruel and evil. [(c) Cranberry]

Now THAT is cruel and evil!!! Why on earth would they do that to themselves? :boggle:

Women have the ultra-long hair for themselves, not the guys. Mid-back length on a young gal is great to a young guy as they celebrate their vigor and youth. I had a girlfriend with butt-length hair in high school daze and she spent an inordinate amount of time fussing with it, as far as I was concerned.

Just in time for my own dotage, I find the short haircuts on older women to be very attractive.

I actually don’t own that ©. I used to, but Martin Milner stole it from me.

Well… it is a copy, right?
