The market for pipes or parts?

Time to sell some extra uilleann pipes, and I’m wondering if there is an opinion or someone’s experience here on the board to guide me:

I’ve got a Tim Britton half-set in D, with an extra chanter in C. This was built up over 4 years; first a brand new practice set, very nice chanter with 3 keys, then a used but excellent set of Britton deluxe drones including an extra A drone, and finally the C chanter.

If I try selling them all together, that would save someone quite a bit of time and effort obtaining the same quality instrument, but the price tag might be daunting.

Anyone ever try selling just a set of drones here? I know I can sell a nice practice set, and the C chanter should also be easy to move, but I don’t want to be left with just a set of disembodied drones . . .

Ye will have probably sold them afore the ink is dry.Sell them as ye want.I would do it as a half set and the C chanter seperately.Folk will find the money.

Surely there are other people (like myself) looking for disembodied drones to upgrade their practice sets. How much would you be looking for them?

Like he said, I am sure that there are a good number of people looking to upgrade their practice sets (including myself). How much was the set of drones originally? Maybe that would help in establishing a good resale value. All the best.
