Just got a copy of Deiseal’s Long Long Note (I know I’m a bit behind - a decade here or there) - wow - trad jazzy soulful stuff from Cormac.
Any groups today have that sound or is it just his?

Cormac has two CDs to his own name, that have a similar sound. Try his website http://www.cormacbreatnach.com for ordering.
i like Cormac, a lot of the trads dont, but i like a little of somebody’s style thrown in with music.
oh yea, i think Phil Hardy has some cool jazzy stuff in his cd with the low whistle as well. http://kerrywhistles.com/intro.php
