I think the book Sean refers to in the video is the liner notes of the recent CD release, which is now out-- http://www.johnmckenna.ie/Release1

It’s a great resource - both the CD and liner notes.

Ah, I really should get that release.
I hadn’t bothered so far as I have a lot of McKenna from
Other sources but it does look like a nice!collection.

I could be wrong Thomas but I think Sean was selling an anonymous flute in that video. I think he was implying the design is more reflective of a Rudall than being by the firm.

This is an extremely rare fully restored 19th century 8 keyed cocus wood flute(Rudall and Rose design).This Rudall and Rose designed flute was made circa 1860 for an instrument dealer in London called William Madelaine.“W Madelaine Improved” is stamped on it. William Madelaine was a registered instrument dealer trading in London from 1853 to 1894. All the original keywork is in perfect working order which makes the instrument fully chromatic.It is very easy to “fill” and has got a beautiful resonant rounded tone with the high octave having a particular sweetness.Anybody interested in buying it go to www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/instruments/2159590
