the humours of tullycrine

just wanted to mention that I really dig that tune. the version which i know is by niall and cilian vallely (piper/whistler from lunasa), “callan bridge” is the name of their cd. Cilian plays it on an F-whistle.

AND I CAN PLAY THE WHOLE THING TOO!!

Going to a session on sat, think I’m gonna play it there…

 Well jolly good luck to you old chap… remember, there are no ‘wrong notes’ (just right notes in the wrong places).

Will you be recording the event, hmmm?

no, if i record i start producing rat-excrement. might start a thread about this wee problem of mine..

 Just sent you an email… though I forgot to enclose the rat doo-doo…

can’t open my email here at work… no access to yahoo here…must wait til this evening…but thx.

PM’d you instead

hey, look at this: http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=7856&highlight=tullycrine

just couldn’t find the link to the tune there…anyone..?

Well, now I’ll have to wait till I get home. No sound on my workstations.

Callan Bridge is where I learned it. (aka Bobby Casey’s Favorite). I put it together with a reel, Porthole of the Kelp. They sound good together in my ears. Porthole was written by Bobby Casey, also. I learned that one from Baker’s Well cd. That has Sean Potts and son as well as some other fine players.
