Well, there certainly are a number of copied goods in China–I guess I don’t blame anyone for not wanting a “copied Healy”; only problem is, it’s not fake!
Anyway, I’m excited about (potentially) going to the Boxwood festival, and though I was looking for a replacement “second/travel” flute, maybe I’ll just wait until I’m back in the states where I’m a more trustworthy seller.
Is this why none of you wanted my Olwell restored flute? 
Anyhow, China is getting warmer!

I didn’t want the Healy because I don’t want a Healy. It may not be fair to his work, and maybe
I’ll try one some time and love it, but from what I can tell, it’s not what I’m looking for.
I didn’t want the restored flute, because I’m not ready to try keyed just now, though it looks
like a nice bit of work.
I can’t speak for everyone else, obviously, but, China didn’t factor in except as a vague
thought on shipping.
Remember, that the economy over here is not doing so great… uhm, I mean, we’re having
a terrific ‘jobless recovery’ of the economy. Anyway, there’s not a lot of people with a lot of
disposable income these days. I’m sure if I was pulling in all kinds of money, I’d have bought
both instruments just for the heck of it, but not to-day.

Mr Bush would be proud of your efforts to move your flute from China to the US. His new economy depends now on such enteprise !
