My name is Zac and I am the guy with the hat in the now infamous photo of Dale and Glen Road. I actually had no idea that any photos had been posted here on the board until last night when a fellow-whistle playing friend alerted me. Of course, I’m now seeing “hand-signed” versions of this photo for upwards of a hundred bucks on Ebay. These are forgeries, folks.
Anyway, I’m 19 and I live in East Tennessee and play uilleann and Northumbrian pipes, flute, whistles, tenor banjo, mandolin, guitars, bouzouki, bodhran and few other things that I would not admit to playing in a public place like this.I’ve looked around this board for a while, but between tours and other excuses I’ve managed to come up with, I never got around to actually posting till now. I’ll try to be more attentive to the board from now on(though I make no promises). Dale, If you are out there skulking around, let me know if you ever got any other pics developed! And will I ever see my shirts again? I still have not developed my film from the Alabama tour. I’ll post pics once I have(though it may be a few years).

Actually Glen Road has never had a stable third member. I’m somewhere around the fifth or sixth “third member” they’ve had. I’ve known Mike and Turlach for years and had played with them in sessions and on stage a bit last year when Sheila Maguire was fiddling for them. They needed someone for their Late Jan through mid March tour and asked me to join them for that. At the moment my future with the group and, indeed the group’s future in general kind of depends on Mike’s surgery in June to move the ulnar nerve in his left arm(at the moment he has only the use of two of the fingers on that hand;it’s amazing that he can still play even guitar and mandola).
At any rate, it was fun and I’ll be playing with them agin down in Rugby, Tennessee the third weekend of next month, if anyone’s interested.
