The Flute Players of Roscommon

Anyone know a source for The Flute Players of Roscommon series of recordings? They don’t show up in my usual places for searching. I’d love to get a copy of the original CD with whatever liner notes are called post-vinyl but that may be wishing on a star.

Thanks and best wishes.

Long out of print, Steve, both volumes.

Just hoping someone has a dusty copy tucked away that they’d like to sell on. In my search, I found one vague mention of a V.3 but no details or any further mention elsewhere.

Still, gots my fingers crossed.

Best wishes.

Thanks to the kindness of a member here, a copy of V.1 is on its way. Appreciate those who responded to my search.

Now to see if there’s a possibility of V.2 being out there somewhere.

Best wishes.

Looks like you are on your way to having both - lucky man! Not sure if I remember correctly, but didn’t John Wynne put this together, inspired by Wooden Flute Obsession? Maybe he can put his hands on any available copies for anyone else searching.

Mostly lucky to have stumbled into a welcoming bunch of flute fans who are willing to share. Don’t know, at this point, who was the instigator for these recordings but there was a good model with the Wooden Flute Obsession series.

Best wishes.

Steve

Yes, according to the liner notes, Vol. 1 was produced by John Wynne, and recorded, mixed and mastered by Paul Gurney & John Wynne at LG Studios, Longford.
