the curious case of the appearing whistles

I have just received - out of the blue- a set of 4 plastic whistles from K. Hogan in Beaver, PA. These are marked SAMPLE ‘D’ ‘A’ ‘Bb’ AND ‘LOW D’

Now, whilst these are great whistles and I should love to keep them, I suspect that they are ‘on tour’. But as there is no paperwork or anything else to suggest either who the maker is (Mr Hogan p’raps?) or to whom they should be returned/sent on to, they may well end up in my burgeoning collection!

Anyone got any idea!

You poor thing, receiving free music instrument in the mail unrequested.

You have an interesting mystery.

It would appear that you signed up for the tour of Guido Gonzato’s Low Tech Whistles. You may want to contact Guidus ( http://forums.chiffandfipple.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=6046 ) to see where they go next and get an addy. It’s been a while since I played those tour whistles! Guido maintains a “news” page on his website which monitors the travels of the whistles. Sure enough, Kelly Hogan was posted as the last tourist on the US tour. Your name is on the EU list.

Here’s the GG Whistles tour thread.

How are they holding up? Wouldn’t it be good form if participants updated that thread so other folk on the tour know where the whistles have been?

Hey K. Hogan, my wife is from Beaver PA and I grew up in Uniontown. How younse doing?

If any of you guys, have tried Guido’s Low Techies, can you tell me how you like them?
