The Crimson Room

Has anybody played this game and escaped from the room?

Apparently, ‘they say’,

There are 13 items hidden in this room in order to let you get out of this room.

If you found:

0-6 items, your IQ is very low
6-8 items, Low IQ
9-10 items, u r normal
11-12 items, your IQ is high, above the average.
13 items found and get out of the room, there are less than 4000 people in the world can do it.

I’m up to 11 items now… :imp:

Heh… I escaped!

I escaped too! That was tricky, me like.

The datacraft url on the paper doesn’t work for me, Gary, did it go to a site when you tried it?

Heh. Did you type it into a browser window manually?

yes…I’m probably missing something obvious…

Well, at least I’ve also got 11 things thus far, and I’m avoiding revision, so those are both good results

I’d love to give you clues, but that would be wrong, and would spoil it for everyone.

:stuck_out_tongue:

yeah, yeah, I fully agree  Except with the smug mode bit

I completed that thing months ago…
My sixteen year old son helped…
A lot…

Slan,
D.

I played this some time ago with a friend…it took me 2-3 hours to escape.

It helped that’d I’d played the early graphics adventures of the Apple 2+, as this is very similar.

After the week I’ve had at work, I think I’ll just stay in the Crimson Room awhile. Nice and peaceful, and there’s no telephone to annoy me!

the crimson room is easy try this one http://www.albartus.com/motas/

Pants. Blocked by Corporate Security :moreevil:

Hm. On IE, the chat and sound worked, but not the video.

On Mozilla Firefox, the video worked, but not sound. ANd it says I need to download Apple Quicktime, which is 12.5 meg, and I’m on dialup.

Someone in the chat room gave me this site to deal with the black screen, but it hasn’t helped yet:

here’s another one to try http://www.marleentimmer.com/worteldrie/milkiw/english/intro.html

 I finally got out. That was fun! I can’t believe I did it. It is really a neat game. Now I’ll have to try these other ones people mentioned—although if the Crimson Room is easy, then I doubt I can do them.

I didn’t beat the Crimson Room, but I quite enjoyed Motas - finally played the “non-sound” version as it wouldn’t fully work. Thirteen levels, got through them all, only needed a hint twice

What is your IQ if you dont go to the Crimson Room in the first place?

 ‘They’ don’t say!

I got to level 12 in Motas yesterday…haven’t gotten out just yet. This is a very cool game!
