The compromise

Well, this is the compromise that I have arrived at. I want to learn the whistle and the Irish flute (Probably a 4 key to get chromatic ability).

I am ordering the Dixon combo. I have heard many good things about the whistle, and most say the flute head is at least ok.

At the same time I am going to start flute lessons locally. That way I can see if I have any kind of talent/sustaining interest, before I plunk down $600+ (US) on an instrument I might end up never using.

So…off to order the Dixon! (Hmmm…wonder how much overnight shipping is…glad I’m not obsessed yet…)

I just ordered a Dixon combo, too. My parents can’t stand it when I buy things I don’t really NEED (even with my own money) so I told them that I would buy it, it would be my birthday present, and when my birthday rolled around they could just pay me back for it. What I have to go through around here…
Anyway, I ordered it from the whistle shop, and they said they need to order more because they’re out. I’m waiting patiently, though. I guess.
