Looks like an Easter egg that tried and failed.

Well, to be honest I was looking for an egg made of solid turquoise, preferably with those cool inclusions that you often get with the mineral, but I came up with zilch. So I had to settle for this man-made aggregate thingum.
More of a lapis lazuli fan myself.
