the Clarke...Woodstock?

I was recently speaking with a friend who also plays the whistle. When I asked him what kind he had he said a “Woodstock by Clarke”…I had never heard of such a thing! With some digging I found out that it’s somewhat like a Sweetone or something…but it seems a rare bird.

Does anyone here own one of these?

I think it’s just a Sweetone with a tie-die paint job. There’s also
a Clarke “Celtic” whistle, which is a dark green Sweetone with
a small, gold Trinity knot stamped on.

I saw a bunch at the garden (!!!) store yesterday – looked like Sweetones in bright primary colors. I didn’t look very carefully, I was paying more attention to the toy accordion.

Good grief, what kind of gardening to people DO in your area?

I bought a Woodstock a couple years ago and asked about it. You can follow the link in response to my question here: http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?p=350676&highlight=#350676

I can only presume it was a garden and something else store – there was also a huge selection of nice old school cooking tools in the next room (you know, cast iron pans, hand-cranked strainers, smokers, etc).

Woodstock markets a ton of different toy instruments. The Woodstock tin whistle is either a Meg or a Sweetone relabelled. In one ot those earlier Woodstock threads, a Clarke guy showed up, and when asked whether Woodstocks were Megs or Sweetones, replied that Woodstock buys both.

But given the price, I’d wager they are mostly Megs.
