The Christmas Spirit

As the surely as mud follows rain,
Winter is come. I look around
And I think the obscuring clouds
Are mirrored in the faces I have found

I’ve got a good friend who runs guns
I’ve known nice nurses to smoke some rope
I’ve known children taught to hate at Mommy’s hands
And preachers teaching hate instead of hope

Isn’t it time we all just said hello
Isn’t it time we all stopped to smile
And open up a bottle o’ Christmas Spirit
And pass it round, and sit a while?

This season is the darkest of the year
And if you let it, it’ll darken you
So lift your head and find some light
Whatever you believe, believe it true

There’s nothing to be gained from further fights
There’s just not any victory to be found
The only place we should have for emnity
Is buried deep within the cold hard ground

Everyone should be friends here!
Christmas has come again!
Throw down your goddam boxing gloves!
And lets just all be friends!

An earnest prayer for peace in a very personal way,

From James

Very Quaint.

Thanks,

Here’s to peace on C&F, good will toward Chiffsters… even Lark.
