It’s changed, and I don’t know that its’s all for the better. I like the streaming slide show at the bottom, but I cannot access the map the way i used to. I cannot seem to ‘tour’ it anymore.
You’re right. This is NOT an improvement.
Just checked it out. If by touring you mean accessing different maps, I didn’t have a real problem: I just stopped the automatic map-switching function (click on the top left clicky thingum), and if I want a different map, I just forward using the controls just below the stop/play switch.
Then again, I hadn’t seen the site until today, so I probably don’t know what I’ve missed.
Put myself on the map, by the way.

Hey, just found that if I hold my left-click on the map and drag the cursor around, I can see anywhere on the globe! Cool. Kinda slow-loading, though, especially Antarctica. Which is sort of stupid as it’s just a buncha white stuff.
