My 500th post! It’s a happy day…
Back on topic, does anyone know of a recording of The Bird On A Tree? I found sheet music, but we all know we can’t learn to play from that…

There’s a pretty decent version Bird in (not on) the Tree on an album called The Untamed Grasses by Sarah Bauhan. It’s on Alcazar Records. If we’re talking about the same tune, I’m sure there must be other versions too but I can’t think of any that I have.

I haven’t heard the Peoples version but I do have the Kevin Burke version on Promenade. It follows The Whole Chicken in the Soup-a great title. It’s pretty much the same version that Sarah Baughan plays. Also I should have mentioned that Sarah plays in on whistle with nice bouzouki accompanimnet by David Surette.
