What is the best way to go from C natural first octave to G second octave on a chanter in concert D when you have to play it fast. i know i can close the chanter between the note but*&$*$#@&?& it work 1 on 5 when i’m lucky,
i have to play this in part B of the reel (the bird nest) but it’s giving me a lots of problems.
any sugestion???

Depends on your chanter. Does it play a Cnat with both the G and F# open? You should be able to play the Cnat with a bit of extra pressure, then close the C hole and just pressure up to the g. If that doesn’t work for you, try the same as above with the slightest of taps on the G and F#.
