The best low whistle case there is (and CHEAP)

I paid a visit to my teacher last night who showed off his new case he’d just bought for £12. He’d got from The Early Music Shop in Chiltern St, London (also Bradford, Yorks) and apparently they have a lot and are selling them off cheap at £12 because they were intended for recorders but the maker made them the wrong size.

And guess what? They’re perfect low whistle size with three slots inside at 23.5" length being perfect for Overton low D and others. One slot has a little divider so you can have two lows and two highs or just three lows.

The case is made of black waterproof vinyl with padded velvet interior, carry handles and shoulder strap, plus zip on three sides. Flat, long rectangular shape.

The Early Music Shop take orders over the phone (020 7486 9101) with a credit card, or just call in. Probably better suited to our UK chiffers, but anyone o/seas can always enquire (www.e-m-s.com, or mail to: london@earlyms.demon.co.uk). They okayed me to announce this on C&F BTW.

sounds innerrestn, I kondactud them, thanx for the tip.

No worries Amar. I suggest you get yourself a strong black coffee, looks like you had a serious liquid lunch there mate.

Good man, thou art utterly mistaken.

cool, I just ordered one!

Nick is correct. This deal is better for those in Europe. Post to the USA is double the price of the case, itself…The people in London who are selling the case are really fine to deal with…
Best.
Byll

it’s the same here, postage is as much as the case.

Hi Nick,
thanks for sharing the information, the case really is worth the money (for those in the UK). I can easily get a flute, a low D and a high D in and it would hold more.

The pic quality is’nt great but you get the idea.

Cheers, Mac
