The best case size for D Full set

As I wait for my Rogge D Plumwood fullset and C Plumwood chanter which should be ready by 2007.

I was wondering what the best dimensions inside and outside for a case that can fit a D set with B/C chanters. Rogge bass reg can be taken of the stock to be a 3/4 set.

So what is the length of most D sets from bag/mainstock to bass drone without tuning peice.

Cheers

Fergus

I use one of these

with the middle “bridge” taken out. I remove the chanter, bellows, and the bottom slides on the bass and bari drone and leave the rest intact. the inside holds the entire set diagonally while the giant outside pouch holds lots of equipment and supplies. it also has two smaller internal compartments. it’s lockable, cusioned, and sturdy enough to stand on (tho I don’t recommend it)

I have used a base clarinet case for a number of years… holds two full sets, one set of bellows, 4 chanters of various keys, a flute, flask, tuner, etc… etc…

but rogge cases are quite nice.
