The Ass in the Graveyard (not OT!)

Hi folks, I have been searching the net for this beautiful tune to learn it, have only found parts of it, can anyone help me out here?

Such a lovely name it has to be beautiful.

Not to sound snotty, but have you tried learning it by ear? It’s not that hard of a tune, it’s a very memorable melody that only takes a few listenings to be able lilt or hum it. If you can do that, you can play it on the whistle with a little work.

Amar,

Try the search function - there’s been a discussion on this tune.

Feadan transcribed all three parts and posted a clip on clips & snips. Drop him a pm and you can get midis and a gif from him. JonM has abc’s, I think. The three of us played at a session a few time (on Bb whistles). Very nice and well-received at the time. And it’s not hard to learn.

thanks for the help. Yes, learning by ear is the only way I learn tunes. Now I just need to hear the entire tune the learn the parts I haven’t heard yet.
thanks again.

Wow! You mean one of my genealogy field trips actually inspired a song!
