Some while ago I asked in this group for a translation of the gaelic words to this haunting tune, which came very quickly. Since then I’ve been trying to write some English words to fit, but I’m no poet and I’ve failed 
But…
Looking at it again the other night I realised that this tune can be used for ‘O little town of Bethlehem’ (or any other hymn that’s in “double common metre”) If anyone’s looking for an unusual carol setting for a small group this Christmas I reckon this could be it.
Is the music posted anywhere? I haven’t heard it, but would like to hear and play it.
