thanks

Thanks folks,
I found this site just in time. Ive been wanting to get a low D whistle for a while, just had no idea which one to get.
Well, I found this site, and scrolled through the messages and low and behold, there it was - my question- which low whistle is good for someone new to it.
So, I got my Dixon Low D TODAY!!!( and 3 pennywhistles to add to the collection)
I love it. Gotta say, I was worried, I’d read that they required a lot of air, but, much to my suprise, it does not seem that way to me. Perhaps cause I play great pipes and shuttlepipes? which also made the "piper’s grip"seem nothing at all.
Now the wider hole spacing is a bit different, but so far my biggest problem is blowing slow enough. Hope practice will take care of that.
Anyway, thanks folks.

Good for you cowtime and welcome to the forum!:)Mike
