Yep, that’s what I’ve got. I like the fact that it’s tunable, even though I’ve yet to play with anyone.

I’ve emailed you Jim. ![]()
spittin_in_the_wind, When I post my whistles for sale I will include sound clips, and if you choose one and you don’t like it you can send it back for a refund.
Won’t be for another couple weeks yet though, probably.
By the way, I went to grad school in Seattle, at University of Washington Genetics. Where are you heading, Avanutria? I liked Seattle, lived there for 6 years before heading back east. In fact my husband and I pine for some of the wines we got when we were there that aren’t available out of state.

I’m heading to one of the towns outside of Seattle, east side of Lake Washington I believe. Maybe I can find you some mail order wine companies ![]()
Hey, enjoy your cross-country drive and take some time to stop and smell the roses, if you can. If you’ve never driven across the country, it’s amazing how big and varied it is. I did it in 1987 and again in 1993, and we’ll never forget it; both times with many animals in the car, to boot! I know travel is expensive, but if you can stop in some of the less likely places for a day, you’ll find out things about the country that you never even knew about.

I’ve taken the round trip twice now and it’s gorgeous. I tend to learn toward visiting people rather than places - got couches available across the rockies, and theoretically I could make it across the country staying with whistlers the whole time. ![]()
I highly recommend the trip to anyone. It doesn’t take long - as a single driver it took me a little over 48 hours to get from Erie PA to Grand Junction Colorado, only driving during daylight hours.
Edited for typo…though I bet Eire PA would look much nicer! ![]()

Hey Robin,
I have Laughing whistles in D and C and they are my travel whistles. When collapsed they both fit into a small leather pouch (about eye-glass case size) I can sling over my shoulder. They are quiet whistles so if I want to play in a public place, around other people I don’t have to worry about bothering them. Finally, if I am playing outside and it is breezy, I can rotate the top section so the fipple hole is facing me and continue playing without the wind interfering.
As Loren said, never had a problem with the sections slipping and since Noah marks the correct setting for the segments with a line, it really does set up in like 30 seconds.
They’re not my favorite whistles, but they are perfect for what I use them for and I wouldn’t part with mine.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Vinny
