Those of you who play a low Whistle… what is the length of it? I have a Howard, and wonder if there is much variation in length. How about width?
I’m asking because I need to know for whistle case coverage.

Is yours in multiple pieces? That might help save some space and let you get a smaller case. I have a three piece Burke Low D that’s roughly 56.5 cm when assembled.and about 2.5 cm wide for the diameter of the tubing and 2.8 cm fr the diameter of the tuning slide. Hope that’s he kind of info you were asking for in your question.

Annie - I have a Silkstone & a Dixon … both tunable. Pushing the tuning slide completely closed for the shortest length, both measure ~22.5" in length and the diameter at the widest point (the tuning slide) in ~1" … the main body of the whistle is ~7/8". The differences between my two Low D’s are too small (maybe ~1/16") to have much effect in the construction of a bag, I think.
Hope this helps …

they’re nearly all about the same length http://www.songsea.com/lowwhisfingchart.html
Thanks all!
That’s exactly the kind of info I’m needing.
