About a month ago, I changed my email address (and canceled the old one). Today, I set up a new computer but couldn’t log in to C&F. I tried to create a new password…and that was emailed to the old email address that no longer exists, because I forgot to update my profie with the new address. Now, I seem to be stuck, I can’t log in with the new computer (I’m back using the old one right now) and I can’t even update the profile on this old computer because I just created a new password–that was emailed to a non-existing address. Anyone know how to get out of this mess?
If you are on the old computer, why not update to the new email address, change your password or whatever you need and would that not get you back on the trail of WHOA?
otherwise, if all else fails…

Are you sure cookies were enabled on your new computer? On the old one, are you using the “save password” feature that automatically saves the password for you when you login? Anyway, won’t help you much 'cause you’ve changed the password.
How come you can login to write messages but not update your profile???
This is a strange situation! Luckily, on this old computer, I’m logged in automatically. In order to change/update my email address under my profile…I have to accompany that with my password. I requested a new password, not realizing the new one would be sent to my old email address (which I no longer can access—it’s forever gone), and when I list my new email address (asking for a new password) it says that email is not in the C&F data base! When I try to udate my new email address…I can’t log in to do that–you have to log in to post or change profile! So what do I do now? This old computer works fine…as long as I don’t log out. But I can’t log in on the new computer to post, and I don’t want both of these things running!
Thanks for the suggestion about the cookies. I try to find that out.
Rich should be able to go in the back door and make all right with the world. Dana did that for me over on PWA board.
How about starting from scratch with a new name?
We’d all still recognize you as Lorenzo2. Unless the post count is important to you.
