I’m heading to Boston shortly and would love to pick up some Irish grocery goodies - Taytos, Barry’s Tea, Little Chip Marmalade, etc. When I lived in NY many years back there were a few grocery stores that had these items.
Does anyone know of a grocery store in Boston which would have these items??
Well, there’s this in Billerica, MA.
Hurley’s has soda bread and a phone number on the website to call if you can’t find what you need . . . surely they’d be able to direct you.
One solution would be to come here for a bit . . . even the Kash ‘n’ Karry grocery store carries Barry’s and . . . and . . . Marmite. <shudder!> I’ve never seen Taytos, though.
There are several online sources which will ship . . . if you ordered before your trip to Boston, perhaps you could have it delivered to you there? Thus avoiding the taxes?
Lately I’ve noticed small Irish sections in several supermarkets. Particulary “Roche Brothers” and maybe “Shaws”. These are mostly suburban chains with multiple locations. If you’re in the city, find one of these places as ask.
