tap or plunger drone cut off on SSPs?

Pros and cons of plunger style drone cut offs compared with taps set lower down in the drones? This would be a combination A/D set, so at least one drone would be turned off at any given time.

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi Chris,
what exactly do you mean with “plunger style”? (sorry, my technical English isn’t as good as it should be)
The easiest (and therefore cheapest), although not very elegant way to shut off a drone is to just a plug the drone end. The tap solution is more comfortable to handle. In your case (combined A/D) I would recommend a system which allows to tune the D drone to E, and possibly four drones rather than three. A system like it is used with NSP would probably ideal for you (that’s probably your idea of plunger system, anyway). What you should keep in mind is the length of the drone in question, in case of a long drone the plunger at the far end can be quite uncomfortable to reach.
