SYN, DIXON Whistles [SOLD]

All have been Sold.

Thanks

Call me dim but, what does the “[/b]” after the Dixon D represent?

It’s code for ending the bold attribute of a font. To start bolding characters, it’s the same except for the “/”

Best, John

Ta (Thank you in American)

let me try and fix that…sorry for any confusion there…

Where-abouts in Kentuck are you Martin? My parents used to live in Paducah. When I visited them there -on hearing my accent - non of the locals could believe I would have flown all the way from the UK, to go to Paducah?! It claims to be the quilt capital of the USA. I would have thought they’d have kept that quiet, dont want to scare away the few tourists that come.

Wow, small world…I live in Paducah (The Quit Center of the World). I grew up here, left for a while and moved back. Very quit town as you know. Where do you parents live now?

They lived in Paducah for six years - Christa Drive. Then they moved to Memphis for four years before returning home to Wales five years ago. My Dad’s health hasn’t been so good recently (Stroke) otherwise I think they would like to move back to the US.
I really liked Paducah, despite the local’s low opinion of the place. If you can make your own entertainment, it seems a great place to live. My parents were working in a Church in Paducah led by a guy named Dave Cassidy (can’t remember the name of his church). I was very struck by the number of churches in Paducah, one road had about 20 on it. Also how spread out it is. The suberb of Cardiff I live in has the same population as Paducah, but Paducah is spread over an area the size of the whole of Cardiff.

I know that on this thread I had stated that I would keep these whistles on the board until 7/29/05 then I would place them on eBay.

I have decided to go a head and pull the remaining whistles off the board and place them on eBay now instead of holding off. Both the SYN and the Dixon had been on sell on the board in previous threads without success.

In addition, I believe its just wise to take a break from the board for a bit. I’ll be out of town on business anyway without computer access.

Thanking you all for understanding and I’ll see you all later.

Take care
