I received my susato low g yesterday, and I am glad I tried susato again.
It responds right away but it did take me a few minnuets to the delicate breath control of middle g, a. After that I could take it to the third octave g,a. It does take a little more volume of air for a whistle this size.
But if a person plays any low d’s they can handle it in a short time. The tone quality of the two octaves is very close to being the same and with a little variance in breath it can be controled almost like a flute.
I absolutely LOVE Susato whistles…I’m slowly collecting them…so far I have a D, G, and A…and am getting a Bb soon…at this point, I think I’ve found my whistle.
They respond well, don’t require a ton of air, I ADORE the tone quality, they’re good for my session so I can actually be heard…I’m so glad someone sold one on here and I decided to buy it!
