Susato Low Bb

Does anyone have experience with a Susato Low Bb?

I have an older Susato Bb that a board member gave me a year and a half ago. I think they have changed a bit since then. I’m not a Susato fan but my Bb is quite nice. It has a bit of chiff to it which is what I love (and is not normally found in Susatos). It is easy to play, great intonation, and not too shrill on the high notes. I can’t believe it was given to me!

I have the Kildare model two-part whistles Soprano Sizes of the -S- Series
High D. Eb E and Low B Bb all fit the one head peice.

I have also one peice Dublin model one peice whistle Alto Sizes of the -M- Series Low, G, A and the Alto & Tenor Sizes of the -L- Series D and E.

Which low Bb model is the one your talking about.

I have both the wide bore and the narrow bore Bb. The wide one is really loud and the narrow bore is quiet. They are both good whistles.

Fergus,

I was looking at the M series Bb.

And thanks to all of you for your advice!

Does anyone here have a susato with a wooden fipple plug? I have one, actually two. Never clogs. I wish they were all this way.
