I guess the recruiters are there only to recruit the poorest of the university students.

MADISON, Wis. - Some college students walked out of classes Thursday to protest the war in Iraq and demand an end to any military presence on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

The protesters circulated a petition calling for the removal of military recruiters and the end of campus ROTC programs, used by the military to train future leaders during their college years.

pardon me being cynical here:

“The students, who walked out of classes at 11 a.m. on a beautiful spring day, also called for an end to the war in Iraq during the protest in the center of campus.”

Hmmmmmm - the war had been going on for 2 years, and I doubt the recruiters just showed up on campus this week… Why didn’t they protest this, oh, say, 2 months ago? In January or February?
Notice the quotes says a “beautiful spring day” not an “artic clipper typical Madison winter day”.
