I could handle a tongue-in-cheek poke at the overdone coverage following President Reagan’s death, but the proposal to “drink twice” at the sight of a grieving widow and laying many of society’s greatest ills at the feet of a man so obviously loved by so many? This approach to “relief” reflects the lack of sensitivity and judgment of those who have perhaps participated in a few too many drinking games already.
I’m not usually one to stir things up, but I don’t think such poor taste properly reflects the spirit of this board. For those who disagree, go ahead and take your shots; I don’t intend to continue this discussion. President Regan’s legacy is debatable; the appropriateness of this post, in my opinion, is not.
