Glad this was still near the top (not much activity over here, eh?), as I’ve only recently started straying over from the whistle forum.

Playing the songs in various forms is very interesting, and not something I’d have thought to do. Not being familiar with your tuning, I just capoed on 4 and played out of Dm position. Of course, to make it work played in Bm on a D whistle, I’d capo 2 and play out of Am position. (I’m a Bluegrass flatpicker by origin, as you can see from http://www.coastalfog.net/flatpick/tablature/tab_main.html and wouldn’t even think of playing guitar at a session–if I should ever attend one. Still, it’s fun to play with the material.)
